At the start of the year, I challenged you to focus on being, and less on doing while reminding you that being was far greater and better than “doing”. We are a few days from September and I anticipate that your goals, SMART goals are not only documented for posterity but more importantly for traction.

But let me guess, for many, that’s probably not the case!

You began the year with amazing dreams and desires, so what happened? Life happened! You had to do other things, social media distracted you, the narrative about the country sidetracked you. I get it and I sympathize with you because your challenges, excuses, and reasons are valid but I will not accommodate a pity party either.

So what now?

There is still time left, but you have to hurry.
We’ve got 18 weeks left…but you have to keep up! There are 128 days in 2019 and you have to double down!

Here are the next logical steps to take right ASAP —

  1. Mentally revisit 1 goal you want to accomplish in 2019 (just one goal)
  2. Write the goal down (if you want my feedback, send me an email: click here — “Dr. Flo, Please give me your feedback.
  3. Review, revise and rewrite that goal until it’s crystal clear and sharp (my feedback will help)
  4. Make it SMART (specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and time-specific)
  5. Paint a picture, associate your goal with an outcome and an experience
  6. Develop a plan (strategic and tactical plan — one focuses on the long term, while the other focuses on the immediate)
  7. Find a mentor who has done what you intend to accomplish and follow them or contact them
  8. Find a coach who will hold you accountable
  9. Pray over your plans every day
  10. Work it — “Execute” hard including weekends.

The promise of an amazing 2019 will be realized.
I believe in you.
