The Intersection
Precursor
If you feel overwhelmed, I hope you feel better soon and know that you are not alone. I remain hopeful about the future.
Less than a month ago, our collective focus was on getting back to the new normal, whatever that even means, and that got tossed aside with Russia's advent of the war on Ukraine. Since it began on February 24th, the world has been thrown into another crisis and living in a state of accelerated, disproportionate, continuous, and unprecedented changes.
Unprecedented, challenging, and complex.
As I interact with leaders, I consciously remind them to know how these changes impact the team, peers, clients, and organization.
And why?
Inclusive Leadership
When leaders focus on themselves and their interpretation of issues, they inadvertently submit to a limiting, self-serving point of view rather than a limitless and inclusive perspective.
Inclusive leaders understand that their position and power are not for personal gain but for collective benefit and a call to enable and empower people to be the best version of themselves.
I have seen firsthand the cumulative impact of inclusive leadership; it is immense, transformational, and starts with the right mindset.
